Tomorrow is Not Promised to Anyone

Life is not a guarantee scheduled for everyone. There are people of greatness, who never wake up to see the following day. For this very reason, you must live today as if it is your last. Hug someone and let them know that you missed them. Express your love for someone you simply adore. Tell someone for the first time, how much you care and appreciate them because it may be the last opportunity that you are given. Neglect the negatives in life and embrace the greatness destined for you. Surround your life around the powerful positives. (more…)

Lost in a World of Technology

We all have been guilty of this, some more than others, allowing technology and its fancy attention grabbing spectacles, to entertain our young children while we catered to either wok or our own desires. What ever happened to spending quality time with your loved ones, watching your kids grow up from toddlers to adolescents?

Push Past Fear

Have you ever put something off for so long that after a while, you’ve convinced yourself that it wasn’t meant to be? Even though you never quite gave it a fair shot or actually placed your all into it, you’ve already counted yourself out. A lot of times, we find ourselves throwing away broken eggs before we purchase the dozen and not quite understanding what causes this behavior, the only thing that I could really think of would be due to fear.

Give Yourself Alone Time

I’ve been known to go on a vacation or two – but within the confinement of my own home. No fancy resort or splendid cruise. Just literally separating myself from the world of virtual reality, and cleansing myself from other unworldly behaviors including people. Sometimes, you have to remove yourself from the circles of those you may label family and friends, in order to reserve your true peace at mind. There are a few people in your circle now that I am sure you’ve been dealing with for quite some time, maybe years, and instead of chopping them off, you put up with their bullshit. And here’s the kicker:

EVEN YOU DON’T KNOW WHY!

The Liar’s Den: Let’s Talk CHEATING

The event I attended on January 21, 2017 located at La Madeleine in Sandy Springs, Georgia, “The Liar’s Den: Let’s Chat,” was something much-needed not just for myself as a woman, but women in general in order to bridge together this invisible gap so commonly placed between us. This was set as a preview of the book, which would shed some light together as a group on questions we all at some point seemed to wonder when it came to men. No, this wasn’t a male’bashing event or a get-together to talk about their flaws, but rather gain some form of group therapy that could eventually help us within our own relationships whether as a partner or even with young sons.

Caleb Minter: Young Heart, Old Soul

ATLANTA has been known as a transplant host for such amazing talent around the world. You have many well-known artists such as André 3000, Monica and T.I. who are originally from the peach state and then those such as the late Whitney Houston, India Arie and Ciara, all whom have become very successful over a course of hard work and determination after relocating to Georgia. So it’s not unusual to come across artists such as Caleb Minter along with others who performed this evening, just to name a few: Broadway Miller (@BroadwayMiller), Rolynne Anderson (@Rolynnethefirst), Chanel Teaboù (@ChanelTeabou) and J. Morris (@JustMorris). If you find yourself in downtown Atlanta on a third Wednesday of each month, make sure you swing on by Studio No.7 and check out Milk & Sizz’s Sound Board and support your musicians.

The Power Within .99

Have you ever noticed when bargain shopping, a lot of the “great” sales you come across tend to end in “.99?” Think about it – you see a pair of jeans in the store for $60 but if you look over to your right, folded just below the neon “Sale” sign, you see the same pair of jeans but on the sign, it reads “$59.99.” Which pair would you go with?
